I think this blog will be mostly on my bakings! haha! im going to make an effort to make this a monthly effort! January this year is our Chinese Lunar New Year Season! And this is my very first time baking for such a big occasion! I made two batches using the recipe from a website that i will put at the bottom of this post. It works for me but when i eat it like no CNY feel leh. hahahahaha but i guess it is all right. Next year, im going to put more sugar for this dough! It was fun doing this! My siblings had fun too helping around! Here are pictures!
okay. i cheated alot. I didnt do the filling from scratch. I got this from......PHOON HUAT! No time la to stir paste for hours this time =( I will do everything FROM SCRATCH next time kay!
Working with the dough! The pineapple tart mould have been with us since God knows when. Just hints to me that my mum was a seasoned baker last time! dont know what happened =( why she no be my guru now?! The dough was made last night (Friday night). It was then refridgerated overnight and taken out this morning to thaw and then be cut up!
then you put the pineapple into the hole. WHEHEHEHHE I love this part la I feel like it is so cute can?

We even have these wrapped up ones! So golden! We brushed this with Egg Yolk =)
And then I packed it up! Some were burnt though and the wrapped ones were lik....70% dough. LOL we put too much dough and too little filling. so it kinda taste like a thick cookie. not fit to be given out =( Next year I will start earlier! and make more!
