This is my 4th attempt in making macaroons! You cannot imagine HOW TOUGH THIS IS MAN! I seriously salute the people who actually have to make this a couple of times in one day!
This was........from my previous attempt. it is...horrible. i couldnt get them all out in one piece..... haha.
so today.....i braced myself and told myself: I AM STRONGER THAN THIS.
It is important, VERY IMPORTANT, to leave the macaroons to air so that their skin can form. the recipe i followed said to leave for 10 minutes and being kiasu, i left them out for like 20 minutes.
it is also very important, TO MAKE SURE THE MACAROONS ARE ROUND. what the hell happened to this?!
AND LASTLY. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO WATCH THEM WHEN THEY BAKE!
The recipe instructed to flip them over after 5 minutes of baking in the oven. i flipped and left them inside tooo long and now, im having a hard time scarping the ones stuck to the pan T.T
i had two pans. one pan as quite successful! (FINALLY) but THESE MACAROONS ARE TOUGH COOKIE I TELL YOU. had to throw almost half the batch away cause i couldnt remove the paper from them =(
made some buttercream to go with these =) I would have considered a better filling but i stuck to this simple recipe instead, just in case u know, my macaroons dont come out right again =(
and then you sandwich these. as you can see, the macarons didnt rise as good,
and i got this from phoon huat! so excited to use them on my macaroons!!!!!!!
FOOD WRITER!
and since im baking this for my valentine.............
packed and ready to go!
XOXO
